People come to...

...for intelligent lyrics and catchy melodies served with originality and powerpop force!

Picnic has licensed almost every song from both of their first two albums to major TV networks including

Picnic's sophomore CD, The Second Coming,
won Best Modern Rock Album
at the 2002 Just Plain Folks Music Awards. Over 7800 CD's were entered, making it the largest music awards ever conducted!
And after listening to over 1100 submissions for the Disc Makers Independent Music World Series

Billboard Magazine named Picnic one of the top 6 unsigned artists of 2003!

Hundreds of radio stations throughout the country have added Picnic music to rotation, including San Jose's premiere alternative rock station, Channel 104.9 FM. "Umbrella" was in Top 40 rotation for 8 months and was among the top 3 the most requested songs on the play list.
Picnic was selected 2 years in a row for Corona's Sound Waves tour. Chosen from over 800 submissions, the band's song, "Mockingbird", received extensive airplay on more than 160 major radio stations throughout the country.

Picnic was founded in the San Francisco Bay area where they built a large and dedicated following, thanks to local radio and playing constantly throughout Northern California. Live highlights include Channel 104.9 and Alice Radio shows, and sharing the stage with Pete Yorn, Stroke 9 and Dishwalla. Venues include SF's finest - The Great Amerian Music Hall, Slim' s and The Fillmore.

Both of Picnic's LP's have garnered glowing reviews, including feature articles in major Bay Area media outlets such as the Bay Guardian and San Jose Mercury News. Music critics and fans agree that The Second Coming takes up where Picnic's first album, Always Open, left off, with an even more refined power-pop energy, and a collection of undeniably catchy melodies from start to finish.
PICNIC is featured regularly on the quality music TV show, "Locals Only", airing every Saturday night on Fox Ch. 2 in the SF bay area.

The band was also featured on "Showcase - The Best of Bay Area Music" and the new Bay Area music and comedy hit, "Stand UP, it's Thursday Night".
